RAN - Refugee Action Network - is a ministry with a focus on addressing refugee issues and reaching out to newly-arrived refugees. It is about sharing God's love with people who have an unfortunate past but are ready to start a new life in a new country.
Previously, the RAN team has organized activities in the church community to raise awareness of the worldwide refugee situation, and has assisted in the resettlement of a refugee from Sudan. Going forward, the RAN team will explore opportunities to collaborate with other refugee organizations in the Lower Mainland, and will prepare for sponsorship of a refugee family from Kenya (for more information see links to the right). The RAN ministry is good practice ground for Christians who have heart, passion, and respect for newcomers who need encouragement and help in meeting challenges and overcoming difficulties as they embark on a journey of renewal and revival.
