My days in Cambodia were mainly divided up into spending time with the following organizations;
Place of Rescue with Marie Ens: Place of Rescue is a safe haven for families living with HIV/AIDS, orphan children, orphan grannies, young unmarried pregnant women from the sewing factories. www.placeofrescue.com
Hagar: HAGAR intervenes in the lives of vulnerable mothers and children by offering prevention, rehabilitation, and reintegration programs in order to break the cycle of poverty. www.hagarproject.org
Prison Fellowship: Prison Fellowship is about restoring lives, bringing hope and creating a sustainable future to those in prison together with their families. www.pfi.org
Big Brothers and Big Sisters /Urban Halo / Servants: The vision of these organizations is to see urban poor communities, led by the church, care for their own orphans. www.urbanhalo.org/ www.servantsasia.org/
I was also able to connect with the Evangelical Fellowship of Cambodia (EFC), Samaritans Purse, and Cambodia Hope Organization; all which have great vision and possibilities.
Of these, I will first I will showcase is the one that had the biggest impact on me; Place of Rescue.
